Judge sides with Jolie — for now

On May 5, Los Angeles Superior Court Judge Ciny Pánuco denied Pitt’s motion to compel Jolie to produce 22 messages her lawyers say are covered by attorney-client privilege. The judge adopted an appellate ruling and wrote that Pitt "has not met his burden" to show the communications fall outside that protection, while leaving open the possibility that further discovery could change the record.
