Kate met researchers, students and families as she unveiled Foundations for Life: A Guide to Social and Emotional Development, from the Royal Foundation Centre for Early Childhood, aimed at helping professionals working with young children.
Speaking with a mother during the visit, the princess acknowledged how hard it can be to build support: "It does take energy and effort to go and actually find that village, and what we're really hoping to do is try and make that easier for families."
