On Aug. 4 outside Marivent Palace in Palma de Mallorca, King Felipe, Queen Letizia, Princess Leonor, Princess Sofia and 87-year-old Queen Sofia posed for photos. Video captured by Hello! magazine and images by Carlos Alvarez/Getty show Queen Sofia initially stepping between Leonor and Sofia — a spot she traditionally does not take. Princess Sofia gently nudged her grandmother and pointed to the indicated place; after a brief pause Queen Sofia moved to the far side and the family posed for their colorful vacation portraits.
